Xero catch-up bookkeeping / Adelaide

Behind on
your Xero books?

Bring overdue Xero records up to date with a clear catch-up plan. We check the last reliable balances, find missing records and agree which months to fix. You know the work and fee before we start.

An Adelaide practice led by management accountant Pargat Sandhu. Meet your accountant

01

Find a reliable starting point

A green bank-feed screen does not prove that the books are correct. We compare the starting balance and statements, check earlier changes and list anything that needs an answer before moving forward.

02

Fix the gaps and duplicates

We review uncoded bank lines, payments entered twice, missing bills and old customer balances. We ask you about unclear items rather than guessing. Changes that affect an earlier BAS or tax return go to your registered adviser.

03

Finish with a useful handover

You receive the agreed months of checked records, a list of remaining questions and the balances your adviser needs. We can then quote regular bookkeeping so the same backlog does not build again.

The work we can take on

What’s included

We agree the work around your business, your records and the support you need.

srwn is your main contact for bookkeeping, reports and business finances. BAS means business activity statement. Registered partners handle BAS and tax services. We can also work with your existing tax agent.

Bank and card reconciliation
Compare Xero balances with the statements for each agreed account and period. Check missing feed entries and payments that appear more than once.
Customer and supplier accounts
Review unpaid invoices, old credits and bills. Match payments to the right records and flag amounts that need your decision.
A list of unresolved items
Keep missing documents and unclear transactions visible. You can see what is complete and what still needs information.
Records for your tax adviser
Prepare the agreed reports and supporting records. BAS preparation, lodgement and tax amendments remain with registered partners or your existing tax agent.

Scope and fees

A catch-up quote you can understand.

Catch-up work is separate from regular monthly bookkeeping. The quote explains the period, accounts, checks and handover included. Software subscriptions or work by a registered tax adviser are identified separately where relevant.

The period to repair
Tell us how many months are behind and whether any returns have already been lodged for those months.
The records available
Bank and card statements, sales records, invoices and bills help us work out what is missing. You do not need to organise everything before contacting us.
The next deadline
Let us know about a BAS, year-end, lender or management-report deadline. We will explain what can be completed and what depends on other people.

Start by telling us when your books were last up to date. Do not send passwords or bank-login details through the enquiry form.

Working together

A clear plan from the start.

  1. Show us where things stand

We'll check your software, accounts and how many entries you record. We'll also review payroll and any months that need catching up.

  2. Know what you're paying for

We'll confirm the work and fixed fee in writing, and tell you which records to provide.

  3. Keep the books current

Each month, we check your books and answer questions. Your records are then ready for reports or your partner's BAS work.

Before we start

Your questions, answered.

Can you help if several months are missing?

Yes. Tell us the last month your books were checked and which bank accounts are involved. We review the backlog and agree a realistic order of work before quoting.

Do I need to change accounting software?

Not usually. This service works with your existing Xero file. We discuss any setup changes with you before making them.

Can you promise a completion date before seeing the file?

The timing depends on the months involved, the state of the records and how quickly missing information is available. We agree the timing after the first review.

Can you work alongside my current tax agent?

Yes. We can prepare the agreed records and hand them to your tax agent. We agree who handles earlier lodged periods, BAS and tax questions before making changes.
